Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in carbonaceous chondrites can be used as tracers of both pre-accretion and secondary processes

چکیده
Carbonaceous chondrites contain a diverse suite of more or less soluble compounds, including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). These compounds are structured around two fused benzene rings, and have shown to be detected in various astrophysical environments. The origin PAHs carbonaceous is debated: they may originate from the interstellar medium (ISM) thus potentially carry information on accretion processes. Alternatively, formed transformed during secondary processes parent bodies about aqueous alteration conditions. Here, we investigate nature, quantity, isotopic composition free three recently recovered CM having experienced substantial distinct degrees alteration: CM2.2 Aguas Zarcas, CM2.0 Mukundpura CM1/2 Kolang. All CMs investigated PAHs, with sizes ranging 2 (naphthalene) 5 cycles (benzopyrene). concentration not correlated degree larger also most depleted 13C, suggesting an origin. Yet, abundance alkylated appears all extracted D-depleted, pointing towards hydrogen exchange water occurred alteration. combined results suggest that CCs likely both

Biodegradation of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in Petroleum Contaminated Soils
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are a class of potentially hazardous chemicals of environmental and health concern. PAHs are one of the most prevalent groups of contaminants found in soil. Biodegradation of complex hydrocarbon usually requires the cooperation of more than single specie. In this research biotreatment of PAH (phenanthrene) was studied in a solid-phase reactor using indigenou...
متن کاملTransport of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in a Calcareous Wetland Soil
Knowledge of transport and degradation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) is important in assessing PAH contamination of soils and water resources. The transport of naphthalene, anthracene, pyrene and phenanthrene was determined in a contaminated calcareous soil obtained from the Shadegan wetland (Khozestan, Iran) considering a column study in laboratory conditions. The PAHs were added ...

The congress was also sponsored by the International Union of Biological Sciences and the International Society of Free Radical Research. Institutional support for the symposium included the Electric Power Re...
متن کاملDetermination of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in Ambient Urban Air
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHS) have been determined in the atmosphere of Isfahan, Iran. Airborne particulate matter was sampled using a high-volume air sampler at roof-top level (~6m). Extraction of PAHS from airborne particulate matter has been performed using SFE system and the relationship between the extraction temperature and the recovery of PAHS</su...
متن کاملInvestigating the Presence of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in Doogh
Background and purpose: Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are one of the most common environmental pollutants that are proven to be carcinogenic and mutagenic. Doogh, is a widely consumed fermented yoghurt drink in Iran. The aim of this study was to determine the presence and concentration of PAHs in different brands of Doogh in Tehran, Iran. Materials and methods: In this study, we synt...
